Tatami is becoming more common in sports activity venues to cover playing areas and protect users from injury or discomfort. As well as on the ground it's also used to cover other elements within the venue or playing area itself such as columns, stairs, exits, etc... It is made from a composite foam-rubber panel and lined with a PVC coated polyester tarpaulin.
